About the event

Join the Underpass Cleanup Crew! Your enthusiasm and commitment are exactly what we need to transform the space under the overpass at 200 W and Mead Ave into a vibrant community spot. Here’s everything you need to know to get ready for the big day:

Date & Time:

Friday, October 4th 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM Please arrive by 9:15 AM to check in and grab your cleanup supplies!

Meeting Point:

Under the Overpass at 200 W and Mead Ave Look for our team's welcome/water table at the corner of 200 w and Mead Ave.

What to Wear:

  • Comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty and painted!
  • Closed-toe shoes (safety first!).
  • Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection.
  • Gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

What to Bring:

  • A refillable water bottle – we’ll have water stations to keep you hydrated.
  • A positive attitude and readiness to pitch in!
  • A snack if you like, though we’ll also have light refreshments available.
  • We are still looking for a few rakes and yard tools. Please email me if you are available to bring a few tools.

What to Expect:

We’ll be working in teams to clear debris, remove weeds, and beautify the space. Our goal is to make this area welcoming and ready for future community projects. You’ll be working alongside neighbors, a crew from UDOT, the County Health Department, and local business owners, so it’s a great chance to connect and build something lasting together!

We also plan to paint all the pillars under the overpass to match the new neighborhood branding. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a permanent transformation, adding a splash of color and identity to our community. Don’t miss out on helping bring this vision to life!

Safety First:

We’ll have safety guidelines, plenty of gloves, and hand sanitizer available to make sure everyone stays safe and healthy. If you have any specific concerns or accessibility needs, feel free to reach out before the event.

Contact:

If you have any questions before the event, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Lkraczek6@gmail.com or 385-715-0481

We can’t wait to see you on October 4th as we roll up our sleeves, get to work, and create a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant neighborhood space!
